Thomas P Watson

August 27, 1932 ~ December 9, 2018 (age 86)
Thomas Patrick Watson, 86, passed away on December 9, 2018. Thomas was born in Jersey City to James B. and Alice (Beattie) Watson. He grew up in Kearny and later lived in Hazlet before moving to Shrewsbury Township.  He honorably served our country in the US Army from 1953-1954 and was a life-member of VFW Post #2226 in Oakhurst. He earned his associate’s degree in business administration from Brookdale Community College Thomas worked for EAI in West Long Branch and then CECOM at Fort Monmouth until retirement in 2001.  He loved golfing and belonged to several leagues.  After retirement he enjoyed, reading, golfing, watching old movies, crosswords and dinner with his brother-in-law every other Sunday to watch a football or baseball game.  He was a longtime communicant of St. Dorothea's RC Church in Eatontown..

Thomas was predeceased by his parents, wife, Isabella "Scotty" (Knotts), his sisters, Jean Thompson and Catherine Gillespie, brother, Robert Watson and nephew Kevin Gillespie.  Surviving are his daughters, Linda Kiss (James) of Brick and Patricia Morio (Mark) of AZ, brothers Jack (Nancy) Watson of Willilamsport, PA and James (Marilyn) Watson of FL, brother-in-law, Roy Thompson of Long Branch and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.  He was a kind, gentle soul who will be missed by all.

Visitation will be held on Sun., Dec. 16th from 2-6pm at the Braun Funeral Home, 106 Broad St., Eatontown. A funeral service will commence Mon. Dec. 17th 10:30am followed bya commital service 1:30pm at Brigidier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Rd., Wrightstown, NJ.
